Hagler: Not That Good

And guess who was at 175. Spinks. And that's it??? Who else did he beat that's worth mentioning? Why is McNulty discrediting Hagler as a middle wgt? Will it be right to start discrediting Hopkins with his wins as a Middlewgt over Trinidad & DeLa Hoya? I don't think so. And for all those who critisize Hagler for not moving up in wgt to challenge a heavier fighter, remember back then there was no super middlewgt division (168 LBS). It was straightup from middlewgt (160 lbs) to lightheavywgt (175 lbs). That's 15 pounds son! And anyone that ever laced up some gloves will tell ya 15 pounds is a lot.
There was no chance of Hagler beating Spinks. Hagler was a great great middleweight champion but he wasn't a big middleweight. Hagler=ATG..Comment

No, My arguements proved otherwise How the hell is he going to move up in wgt like that abruptly 15 lbs?! Your wrong son, Duran didn't moved up abruptly 15 pounds, he was a former Jr middlewgt champ (154 lbs). Last time I checked that's only 6 pounds to middlewgt (160 lbs)
And yes Hearns & I moved up in wgt throught our careers, but we did it gradually. In hagler's case he couldn't because at that time there wasn't a super middlewgt division (168 lbs). Not Duran, Hearns, nor I, moved up in wgt abruptly 15 lbs to fight hagler...it was done gradually.Comment

Now I agree with you here Spinks would've beaten Hagler. But i'm sure hagler would've given him a good fight. I still think spinks was just too big & would've eventually stopped him via TKO. Spinks is the best LightHeavywgt!Comment

So you openly admit you'll selectively score body punches or not at all?Dude, SRL was out of the game for 3 years and still got a clear win!!!
Hagler in rematches vs who...Antuofermo or Hamsho? Come on man, fcuk those dudes!
Hagler had to fight 4x/year cuz he was fighting **** fighters for **** pay and blamed The Man when he should have blamed himself. How come he never moved up like ALL the greats did?
Caveman Lee, yea that guy was the BEST!
If Hagler didn't QUIT, SRL would have 118-110'd him in a rematch. Hagler gave up the first half of the fight like a b1!tch. SRL was the better man and clearly won the fight.
Pro's ain;t the amateurs kid. I'll score body shots if they do damage or are overwhelming, truth is SRL did body work too and whatever Hagler threw at him SRL came back with COMBINATION punching. Hagler's power had ZERO effect on Ray.
