You say the officer perceived him to be one. Clearly he did. However, if his perception is in fact WRONG, why should he be acquited of any wrong doing?
And what good reason would a cop have to shoot someone before they even know that they are dangerous?

reasoning behind why they do what they do
police officers are put in difficult situations
many police officers are now scared to do their jobs in black neighborhoods and thats resulted in more black on black violence
you should direct your outcry to black on black violence where people are intending to do harm to others, not police officers who don't wake up that day thinking 'oh let me ruin my career and shoot a black guy whilst being filmed on bodycam or dashcam'
but i do understand that you see injustice so it is natural to complain about it

Also the cop was ****** and neglectful. How is the cop gonna say he was worried about the child and second hand weed smoke, but then proceed to shoot in the direction the child was sitting, not one shot, multiple.
I advise anyone reading this, if you get pulled over and you have a gun in the car. Put your hands 10 and 2 on the steering wheel immediately after pulling over. Disclose everything to the police officer and make sure the officer allows any movement before you move. Dont casually disclose youve got a gun in the car while your digging for your wallet. Especially when youre black. In a perfect world it shouldn't be that way, but if youre black I suggest exercising extra caution since a sizable portion of your population gives you a bad reputation. How quickly we forget the two black guys that assasinated 8 cops in the span of a couple days last year. Thats why some of these cops are nervous and panicky.
Just my $0.02.
