Liked the guy coming up & he seemed like a model f#cking citizen at one point along the way, but he's lost his sh^t due to CTI or other reasons & he probably just needs to be locked up or given some sorta help cuz some other poor mfer in the future is gonna be a victim of his next "incident" & I can't predict the future but this seems pretty obvious.

This. He's in a similar situation, he's got a lot of talent but made a lot of money young and doesn't have much self discipline. It's really a sad story, especially when you consider this guy ended Hopkins MW title reign and his career was basically over just a few years later. Just shows you how life can change quick.

In addition, we don't know the complications or role boxing has played in his mental decline. We know that repeated blows to the head can result in permanent and irreversible loss of brain tissue. It's very possible or likely that he could be showing signs of CTE or at the very least suffering from an early onset of it.

Man I remember when Jermain Taylor was the next big thing.

He belongs off the streets, period. The fact that he is hiding out in Florida indicates he knows what he did was wrong. If you know right from wrong, you pay for your crime. I always liked Taylor, and yes, he is brain damaged from fighting, but he is also a danger to others. Attempted murder, shooting his cousin five times, and popping off shots at a MLK event, he is reckless and dangerous.

No doubt he needs help if he is indeed mentally ill, maybe a half-way house or therapy, but jail?

In an ideal world, there would be a committee made up of doctors and accountants which regularly monitor all fighters' health and finances.

Boxing is an unique sport whereby fighters are at risk for brain damage and boxers tend not be highly educated so.may need help with dealing with their finances

Promoters are too busy ripping fighters off and fans dont care so the status quo is gonna continue for forseeable future

That's actually a really good idea. It's realistic and should be easy for someone in the game to set up. It should actually be a standard thing.
