No doubt he needs help if he is indeed mentally ill, maybe a half-way house or therapy, but jail?

The problem is that it is very costly to prove someone's degree of brain damage and whether or not they were fully cognizant of their actions. Who pays for the MRI, CT scans, psychiatrists, etc.? Jermain is broke and I doubt there are an high rollers in boxing who would pick up the expenses.

While I suspect he is suffering from some form of brain damage, he's also a ticking time bomb. Even without a gun, he is still capable of killing someone with his fists. Guys like him and Spadafora cannot be allowed to walk the streets.

It's funny how Bernard Hopkins lost to him because HBO was banking on him being the next big thing. Then they fed him to HBO's next thing Pavlik. Then Bernard Hopkins came back and ended Pavlik's rise. It's the circle of life for boxing hype jobs.

100% needs to be in prison. Shot someone 5 times over a car having some damage to it while not knowing completely if it was that person while being his cousin... Now doctors can't remove the final bullet without risking life threatening injury because of its location very close to the spine. Shame that Taylor was the man, but we have to overlook that and he needs to be locked up while getting mental help on the inside, him roaming the streets is very very dangerous.
