If ward 'punches like a girl' then Kovalev obviously takes it like a bish. That was a foolish quote made by Kovalev in the lead-up to the rematch, so it's funny that his fans are still repeating it after watching Kovalev get worn-down and stopped.Comment

I had no problem with the stoppage. We can debate low blows forever, it's still no excuse to stop fighting and stay in that awkward position.Comment

He wasn't fully recovered when he bent over. He made an attempt to fight back but Ward kept coming. Ward isn't really known as a finisher so seeing him coming probably zapped the fight out of Kovalev.

Ward did this during both fights tons of times
Kova was not bent below his or his opponents belt lineComment

There were a lot of fouls on both sides that weren't called. Weeks is known for letting things go in a fight. I can't argue one way or the other about which fouls were called or not. I can say some people are placing too much emphasis on fouls and not the actual way the fight played out.Comment

Ward always goes 12 rounds against anyone decentComment

Except to say what the heck does that have to do with anything? You said Ward punched like a girl and couldn't finish Kovalev fairly. He was wobbled, forced to the ropes, and crouched over in pain from a body shots.
I just realized it's absolutely useless talking to some of you about this fight. It went from Kovalev was hurt but only from a low blow. Someone else saying he was never hurt at all. Now you're saying it was a little wobble and didn't matter at all. Yet he somehow ended up sitting on the ropes looking like a defeated figter.Comment
