Andre Ward has been elite for sometime, and is still elite. Say what you will about the first fight -- it was a toss up fight but he got the decision, and in the rematch he rocked the f**k out of Kovalev and with or without the controversial stoppage he was on his way to KO'ing Kov.

You're not beating Kovalev, much less stopping his ass without being certifiably elite.
