Although he lost to kov in first fight ward is elite. As he was giving kov all he could handle in second fight as well and some think ward even did better in second fight than he did in first fight and he did. He was up on 2 judges cards after all. If the ref didn't stop it prematurely it's not unreasonable to think ward could have got a legitimate win over kovalev
Maybe not the best pfp but he's top 4 for sure

got to disagree with that one. He could put a glass eye to sleep at times as Hatton would say.

But we all like different things.

The reason I rate Ward is if you had to pick a boxer to beat an unnamed mystery opponent (who is gonna be world class) in and around their weight class and your life was dependent on them winning Ward would have to be the pick now.

Ward, Crawford, Lomachenko would be my top 3.

Even if I wouldn't go out of your way to watch a boxer that above scenario enables me to ranks them where I think they belong.

Ward is the best. Definitely. Tough as old boots, strong as a bull, crafty, and skilful.

Ward beat froch and you think froch is elite so wouldn't that make ward elite too?

But that makes him boring? I think you got your prospective out of wack. What do you want conor surviving a fight with Floyd then conor is exciting? Come on man!
