Well you don't have to be the undefeated, undisputed Middleweight champion of the world to have seen that. But it does look like Ward was on his way to winning

Many fighters looked to be on their way to winning, and then it all changed with a single punch. That's what's great about boxing.

Ward would still beat him at any weight though.
Hard for me to read anything else after that. Jacobs wasn't a win at all.

Ward is pound for pound #1 and has proved his mettle time and time again!

I don't like his style of doing whatever it takes to win but it's a fight not a knitting contest!

Boxing is and always has been about money, who's the more invested in fighter, and politics!

Golovkin needs to shut his mouth cuz what he seen will happen to him soon!

He fought a tentative Jacobs who made it so close that there should've been an immediate rematch but of course he gonna chase the Cash Out fight!

Kov should also be given respect for willing to face a future Hall of Famer in Ward and Ward willing to fight a great fighter in Kovalev!

Both guys will be remembered for willing to take challenges while Golovkin will be remembered for failing to knockout the so called chinny Danny Jacobs!

But the fight was stopped early and he should've gave a KD count so who knows if he'd recover with 15 seconds of rest but I think his end was coming regardless, Ward figured him out!

I agree that the fight was stopped too early. Championship bouts should have a higher standard of when to pull the plug.

Let the guy get knocked down a few times at least.

why so mad, did you have money on the fight or something lol?
                and who the **** is ' they ' ?
he didnt respond to steel's question, was glassy eyed as *** and was looking at his corner, he had no idea where he was mate. good stoppage.
Meaning there's no use arguing about a fight that happened decades ago. Didn't have money on the fight, I'm not that old. Lol. It was fairly obvious Don King and the Chavez peeps (they) influenced the outcome of the match. (Please don't tell me you're about to defend Don King?). There is a track record. His eyes were not glassy but he did look confused (hence the reason I think he either didn't hear or didn't understand what Steele was saying). Taylor was a phenomenal fighter but not the sharpest tool. Funny how he miraculously recovered to protest the stoppage. This was one of those fights that gave boxing a black eye back in the day. In retrospect it was a brutal fight for a Taylor but he deserved to finish the fight.

But atleast he didn't end up sitting on the ropes getting saved by the referee.

You do realize that per weeks instructions that's a legal punch. His shorts and cup are high and above his navel so Weeks deemed a blow on the belt line was legal before the fight began.

This is the second to last punch. Look at the photo closely, it is Kovalev's white glove that is on his own beltine trying to defend. You cannot see Ward's glove, which is red by the way, because it is right in Kovalev's nuts at that moment.

Now here is the final shot photo and GIF:

It is way below the beltline, clearly in the nutsack.
