Which would've ****** for Ward undoing all his good work from that big right hand he landed earlier in the round, but if this was being reffed correctly that should have been the sequence of events.

All-in-all Ward was taking over this fight and the only interesting thing would've been to see if he could've got Kov out of there clearly. The stoppage though at this stage of the fight was bad as that last punch that finished Kov off was right in the balls and strictly speaking not a legal blow.
If his nuts are that high up he needs a doctor

The ref should have given some kind of indicator to viewers and kovalev he was in danger of being stopped. The stoppage was out of blue. I was expecting point deductions or warnings to ward. If not warning to ward a warning to kovalev for play acting.
That way you avoid controversies and Internet debates

Steele got a TON of stick for that fight for yeaaars, wrongfully so IMO.

It doesnt matter if there was 0.2 seconds left, the amount of time left should not come into the reff's mind, the only thing that matters is whether Taylor responds to steeles instruction, he did not respond and therefore it was rightfully waved off.
your an idiot steele was on don kings payroll as were many other vegas ref and officials at that time. This fight was also fixed I believe weeks was theaten though and not bribed ward promoter is a dangerous man

Kov got him some die hard delusional fans...the punchers were beltline and he was hunched over - get over it, he got TKO'd by pillow fist!! Deep down I know why most of these people are still holding on to a glimmer of excuse, but hey he was not getting better, he only has 1 gear, and he was in major trouble against a very accurate puncher - now go to bed he lost

With all of your inside knowledge, why do you even watch the sport? you make it sound faker than wrestling or even Cartoons... but I see whats in common, black promoter who has everyone on his payroll and now James Prince threatened the ref.... But through it all, you persevere knowing the inevitable outcome - that's some powerful bullshyt

No ******ed Robbie, again you accuse me but you're the one who talks smack.

They are 2 different punches. You see, in the second to last shot, Kovalev is touching the ropes, in the last punch he is not:

              So again,

              Second to last, touching ropes:

              Last, not touching ropes:

Well if you've just received a shot to the groin, you bend over, and then you receive a second one while bent over, it's not your fault, it's a foul, and very poor refereeing.

See the before last shot is to the groin, then Kovalev bends forward, and Ward throws another exact same shot to the groin:

So this is the second to last shot that causes Kovalev to bend forward, see is in the ropes:

And here Kovalev is already bent forward from that previous shot, receiving another full swing uppercut down there again, the final blow:

Too high? You do realize that when you bend forward, your beltline which is normall 7-8 inches above the groin , is now 1-2 inches away. Try standing and this position and imagine you're the one punched. Where would it hit you?

Bull shieeeeet!!!! The rules are clear, if you beat the ten count then the fight goes on.

Exception is made if the ref is of the opinion that continuing with the bout could be harzardous for the fighter.

What danger could he have faced in 2 seconds?
