If he thinks that, he's a fool. Floyd is always a huge draw, as is Conor. Some people may not want to pony up that much money in a short period.

The only way it doesn't affect their fight that much is if Floyd/Conor is a joke of a fight. If it's disappointing and boring, people may pay up to see a real boxing classic that Canelo/Golovkin promises to be.

Only hardcore boxing fans could pick these guys out of a line up. Mexicans will buy and that's about it. Mayweather McGregor is talked about everywhere and people WANT to see it. Joshua Klitchko was a bigger than Canelo ggg. These two fights aren't in the same stratosphere

I actually think Canelo vs Triple g will outsell Mayweather vs Connor Mcgregor.
I think the Canelo fight will sell about 1.5 million ppv's and the Mayweather fight will sell about 1.2-1.3 million ppv's

You need to factor in the millions of MMA meatheads who think their man is going to knock Mayweather out though. Add those to the casuals plus the millions that the hype train picks up when it is at full steam and I can easily see it reaching May-Pac numbers. It will definitely affect Canelo vs Golovkin, who I think may need a strong undercard to recover some losses.
