It will definitely affect Canelo vs Golovkin, who I think may need a strong undercard to recover some losses.
For some reason people are forgetting that a fair share of the MMA fans actually think McGregor can win. Just go check out the sites that focus on MMA. It's lunacy, but casuals haven't given up on Mayweather either.

I'm hearing a lot of talk about this fight from women and dudes who don't watch boxing, but they saw Mayweather-Pacquiao. People like big events, it's that simple.

Not one of them know about Canelo-GGG. The potential audience for combat sports is quite large. I don't think the fight will beat Manny's numbers, but it'll do something bigger than 3 million imo.

It's not "his" ppv, it's canelo allowing him to be a part of his. Golovkin has beaten 1 guy and is a nobody

So I am leaning toward Mayweather vs Mcgregor outselling Canelo vs Triple G but It will not sell as well as people think.
        Yeah you could be right.
But I definitely don't think either fight will crack 2 million ppv's

            0-1 is better than GGG?

I actually think Canelo vs Triple g will outsell Mayweather vs Connor Mcgregor.
I think the Canelo fight will sell about 1.5 million ppv's and the Mayweather fight will sell about 1.2-1.3 million ppv's
Only hardcore boxing fans could pick these guys out of a line up. Mexicans will buy and that's about it. Mayweather McGregor is talked about everywhere and people WANT to see it. Joshua Klitchko was a bigger than Canelo ggg. These two fights aren't in the same stratosphere

I was going to say that the Mayweather-McGregor fight is a spectacle and not a boxing match, but on second thought it is more freakshow than spectacle.

The Mayweather-Pacquiao fight soured people on PPV fights. The aftermath of that dreadful fight is still being felt across the board.
If the Mayweather-McGregor fight draws big numbers, it might be the death knell of PPV because there is zero chance that this "fight" will be remotely entertaining, in any other sense other than a cartoon is sometimes entertaining.

I think Canelo vs Triple g will sell about 1.5 million ppv's. Maybe a little more.
I said before the Canelo vs Chavez fight that it would sell over a million ppv's and it did. People on here were saying I was high on something but I was correct.
And I think I'll be right again on both this upcoming ppv fights.
                  That's about right!

First of all, this is Canelo's PPV. We already know how these numbers would be if it was GGG's PPV. I don'tsee Loeffler on ESPN pushing the fight. Secondly, Mayweather vs. McGregor is a very serious threat to the PPV, if not Oscar wouldn't be on every TV station begging for a boycott!
