yes i care about the rules being followed and seeing a fair fight. if ward had won legit good job. but he didnt. you clearly do not care and thats why you are on here bragging about a foul fest win for ward. you dont care about changing boxing that is clear because the guys you like currently benefit from this corrupt system. the clinchers and cheaters have the advantage unfortunately. you can check my posts before this fight. i said this exact same thing would happen. ward would foul it up and win controversially. we have all been conditioned to accept this way of fighting unfortunately. my complaints wont do anything. its already been set in stone.
Comments Thread For: Ward: To Talk Low Blows, Must Mention Kovalev's Rabbit Punches

I think as a fighter Ward was honorable enough to acknowledge that punches don't always land where you intend. That's a reality across the sport. Fouling happens in every bout. Consider the rabbit punches Kovalev through. There is no expectation that those punches result in point deductions or rest for Ward.Comment

I think you and others sensationalized the idea that Ward fouls more than other fighters. So when he fights and defeats fighters you like, it's a convenient and emotional response to the fight. What's funny is that boxing saw a man put into a coma due to rabbit punching, yet no one complained about the ref allowing Kovalev to rabbit punch Ward. Seems to me that fouling is ok as long as your fighter wins.
you are trying to create false eqivalencies again. no he shouldnt rabbit punch. the reason he does that is because ward is clinching him. take away the clinching and they dnot happen.Comment

no they werent legal. thats the whole problem. the ref said the bottom of the belt was low and then ward kept hitting him there. just because the ref ignored his own rules doesnt mean we should. thats kind of the whole problem. boxing fans pretend like the refs/judges are on the up and up. if he was on the up and up he would have followed his own rules but he overlooked wards cheating which helped him win.Comment

The ref needs to be neutral. In this instance you have an outboxer and a fighter who wants to fight inside and work the body. You have to ref the fight in a way that doesn't take away a fighters advantage.
When Ward tries to get inside, Kovalev did his share of headlocks and clinches as well. He did his share of rabbit punching in the clinch. And he also complained about legitimate body shots. I would prefer no calls on both ends than a ref intervening way too much.
Kovalev was clearly affected by Ward's body attack and was complaining about legitimate body shots in hopes of getting a warning to discourage Ward from going to the body. When you do that too often, the ref will not take your complaints serious and when actual low blows occur, he will still think you are crying wolf.
wrong. the ref drew a line in the middle of kovs belt and said anything below is low. ward kept hitting him below that line. kovalev had every right to complain. the ref was letting ward get away with illegal shots accordign to his own rules.Comment

The ref has a duty to deal with the rabbit punches. He is a ****e ref. I agree. The reason people are harping on about the low blows is that she stoppage came from one. And just like the ****e ref he is he called a ****e stoppage. Nobody wants to see anyone hurt. When I said how much punishment Groves dealt out unanswered in he's last fight some of the same people saying that this was a good stoppage were telling me that one was premature.Comment

yes he does.you and others pretend he doesnt because you like to see him win. ok cool but you arent right. once again more false equivalencies pretending that all fighters foul the same? really?
