  • One more thing I wanted to add. THE UFC will fail if they continue to have horrible fight cards as they did last week. GOOD JOB UFC one point for boxing.

I don't think Dana White is scared or doing it for the money. Dana White is a business owner trying to increase his market share by reaching out to a specific group of people that are willing to pay for this fights. Recent internet articles suggest that UFC is taking market share away from boxing. Even though UFC is getting more and more popular they will never be able to tap the boxing market share. This is what we know:

    1) The true boxing fan cannot stand to watch two guys sit on each other (Must be a wrestler or MMA to understand the technical skill to appreciate the fight)

    2) ****sexuals and Gays are the major driver for the increase in UFC market share (Look at the San Francisco market share up 200%)

    3) Comparing UFC to Boxing is like comparing NBA to NFL... Martial Artist love talking about how much BETTER their art is to another. I think they have to justify why its better to wrestle around with another guy with just having speedos on.

It is the very reason why MMA'ers dont have the skill level of a boxer, because they have "a combo of everything". They dont practice as much on one thing, thus meaning they never reach the level that a boxer would, since he concentrates on just one discipline. I have watched all that MMA **** with the ineffective little kicks to the legs and stuff. Anyone with toughness like Tyson would just walk through that and as soon as your foot is raised off the floor all it needs is for him to land one of his concussive bombs and you are out. Better believe.

Corrales/Castillo relates because I never see any MMA dude show that much heart in a fight, nor skill in a fight. Its always over early in MMA, and the dudes they are fighting are complete ****ing nobodies with glass chins. One shot to the dome and they are gone. Try doing that to Castillo....
      Exige brought some valid points.
BTW, is it me or it looks like our forum is invaded by the UFC fanbois.
We got the mma forum for you guys.

      • here you go guys watch these and tell me if MMA sucks if you do you are a liar... and unlike boxing hl mma fights are usually like this UFC 60 was a C event the hughes fight was ok i hated watching royce get beat like that... also leg kicks are like the jab and a body punch in one they keep your opponent away and they add big damage that will be a big factor later if your think that it is ***** to kick the legs you obviously have never felt it think of constant liver shots on your thighes

          he would get killed.

??? Of course they dont have a skill of a boxer ? It's too seperate sports...get it. Ineffective leg kicks ? you should try having someone kick you on the knee or thigh first then see if it's ineffective. Your Castillo/Corrales analogy is just plain ****** but your lack of knowledge will explain that. Glass chins and nobodies ? I'm just gonna laugh that one off. Patheic. Castillo would get his arm blown off in there , lol.

              • Thanks for sharing a bunch of Japanese videos. How does this relate to UFC? I think UFC aligns more with WWF rather than the pride/k1 fights.

not really no one just shoots out of the blue there is always a set-up, all you have to do is time the punch and instead of throwing a counter change your levels and take a double leg then the boxer would have no clue as to how to use his gaurd and would be passed then bombs will be dropped on the inexperienced boxer and then the bower will get the bright idea as to just stand back up giving up his back allowing the MMA fight to put him to sleep

you are comparing apples and oranges a pure boxer cannot beat an well rounded MMA fighter in a fight that allows boxing and grappling but take away the grappling aspect and the boxer will still have trouble because the MMA fighter will utilize the leg kicks but take away the kicks and the boxer will kill the MMA fighter

                    • Probably most of the guys that are classified as MMA haters have not seen the fights outside of UFC.
