It was indeed low, but not intentional. I doubt the decision will be overturned since Kov contributed to the situation by purposely bending over to avoid being punched. That's no different than when a fighter ducks too low or turns their back and receives an inadvertent blow to the back of the head.

More importantly, no matter what the fans say, Kov knows he lost to Ward. His aura of invincibility is gone.....

Not necessarily true. There is no standing 8 count in the unified rules of boxing, which is pretty much the only rules followed in professional boxing-but when Kovalev was sitting on the ropes, Weeks could have called it a knock down and gave Kovalev an 8 count. I believe Weeks stopped it because the previous round Kovalev stopped fighting on a body shot, and turned away from the action twice. I believe Weeks made a judgment call based on the way Kovalev was acting in the last 2 rounds.

He was still on his feet he should have went down but he didn't know how to react when hurt. Kinda like Julian Williams.

As far as the stoppage I believe that too Kovalev was reacting too body shot like they were but shots but weren't and people haven't seen that before.

It was low but Kovalev doubled over is Illegal too he's below Ward waist.

In the end Kovalev was reacting to body shots like they were nut shots. That three punch combo earlier was clean.

A dq has to be intentional... a fighter is not allowed to crouch to avoid punishment which makes the last blows legal.
Kovalevs will was broken. He was playing it up to buy time becuase he was wobbled from the right. Kovalevs will was broken and his right hand was taken away. He was it with haymakers multiple times from round 3 on and was puzzled. Kovalev was the only one wobbled in the fight. Which was the excuse about the last fight cuz he dropped Ward. Now that evaporated.

Those body shots leading up to Kov bending over were not low in my opinion, they were on the belt line.
