Tony Weeks did an excellent job as the 3rd man in the ring last night. Ward's clean body shots to the mid section of Kovalev paid dividends. Ward's big right hand in 8th wobbled Kovalev, and the body attack was relentless...Tony Weeks was right on top of it. Thanks for looking out for the fighters health and safety..

But the kind of low blows that Ward landed, I've seen that no-called a lot. It wasn't all the way down south, it was on the bottom of the waist band. A lot of refs let that go, some give a "that was low", others guesture to the fighter to bring them up.

Also, Kovalev didn't REACT as if he got hit in the ***els, like every boxer does. He didn't look up to the ref, like that was low! Or he headbutted me! He reacted like a boxer that got hit with a punishing body shot !

Both the Rigo/Flores and Ward/Kovalev fights ended with KO wins for the Roc Nation fighters from clear fouls. It could just be a coincidence but based on how anxious Weeks appeared to be in stopping the fight, there's a good chance the fix was in. After all, regardless of how much the event grossed, Roc Nation were willing to give Ward a guaranteed purse. It doesn't seem like Jay-Z minds reaching into his own pocket to pay Ward, what else is he willing to do in order to ensure success? Just a thought.
It was a nice punch by Ward that rocked Kovalev but the stoppage was too ridiculous to avoid su****ion.
