no, will still be 49-0, the win doesnt count cause hes not even fighting a boxer.
Should this count as Floyds 50th win?

Should it count if he loses?
Should fights against 5-30 type bums count on fighters records?
Do fights against other debuting 0-0 boxers count on fighters records?
Can't have it both ways. Either the answer to all these questions is yes or all of them is no.Comment

Why do people make such a big deal about 50. It's not some mystical number that officially makes him tbe or something lol
But yes it should. Right after Chavez beat meldrick Taylor he fought a guy that was 5-3 and then 4-3 after that. They all count. After beating roger mayweather he fought someone that was 0-1

One thing I'm sure we can agree on is that it does nothing for his boxing legacy, it's just a easy money grab.Comment

Sure. But his 50 will always come with a massive asterisk
Athletes care about perception. When he goes 50-0 it will always have a "but......"
Sort of like Bonds. This will burn himComment

Yeah.
It's not like McGregor is a pro tennis player or something, he is a fighter and a champion in his own right. Circus match up or not, Conor has a pro boxer's license and is fighting under pro boxing rules in a sanctioned fight. He has competed in the highest level in MMA, so he won't be completely out of his element.Last edited by Willy Wanker; 06-17-2017, 12:37 PM.Comment

Of course it does nothing.
Wtf lol. Why would it burn him? Is 50 some end all be all number? It's not a magical record to reach. Chavez went like 79-0. It's just another fight. Nobody in here is acting like it's even a top 30 win for Floyd lol. It's just an eventComment
