Bunch of emotional poosies in this thread, honestly.

Fights against other boxers that are 0-0 or even 0-10 have counted in a fighter's record plenty of times. Fights with 100-1 or even 200-1 favorites have counted before plenty of times as well.

The reality of the situation is that this fight will count towards Floyd's record. The fact that you don't like Floyd or you don't like this fight will have zero impact on that reality. It's already on BoxRec, you might as well accept that.

You can make plenty of arguments that this win will not be regarded as impressive, or add to his legacy. I agree with those claims. But at the end of the day it will be in his official record and recognized as such by all appropriate boxing en******.

Does it count? Yes. Either he is 50-0 or 49-1 at the end. Is it embarrassing as hell to him and the sport of boxing? Yes. One of the most embarrassing things to ever take place in the sport fighting a guy who is 0-0-0. It is more than a statistic. They have sanctioned and Pros vs the Joe's scenario which is stooping pretty low for a hugely rich man.

        Were they sanctioned boxing matches?

...says the guy who was defending this fight by calling it an exhibition not too long ago.

              Irrelevant question.
It is going to be Floyd's 50th win if he wins and will count as a loss if he loses. The NSAC has already stated they are sanctioning the fight. The WBC is considering putting their diamond belt on the line as well.

It will count on Floyd's record win or lose.

This fight is good for Floyd's pockets but bad for his legacy.

              It's about money, not glory.
              It is what it is.

And the great Ezekiel Brook fought 2 guys with over 130 losses, another bum with 97 losses, and another guy that was 3-26.

                It was "experience" doe...

It should not and honestly, that record means absolutely NOTHING! That is the most useless ***ing record is sports because it confirms absolutely nothing. Even Marciano at 49-0 he still wasn't considered "THE GREATEST"

It shouldn't count but it will. The only way this affects his legacy is if some how McGregor pulls of an end of the world miracle and get the upset.
