But yeah, this fight is definitely killing the buzz for GGG/Canelo. Just look at this site. Literally almost no talks of GG/Canelo, and only Floyd/Conor.
Bunch of ****ing fake ass boxing fans on this site. They've been using other fighters to continue the Mayweather-Pacquiao fanboy war and now that Mayweather's back they didn't hesitate to drop all that and start arguing over him nonstop again. The Mayweather stans are actually celebrating the possibility of this fight hurting Golovkin-Alvarez.

Right up to the end of round 1 and the last bell when Boxing fans realized they were duped by a circus act non-fight. Then they will start salivating an actual fight, with heart-pounding anticipation and intensity. Right now the FloydMac fight is all smokescreens and mirrors as they say in magic....till the final bell when reality sets in and people are saying WTF was that crap.

The thing is who you watch it with. If you watch with a bunch of boxing fans the fight will suck no doubt. If you watch with loud mouth MMA fans it could be a highly entertaining (and profitable) night.

I am not denying what you are saying because all that is true, so hopefully Tank and Jack fight some good guys on the undercard for the boxing fans.

The FloydMac fight will actually help the Canelo GGG fight! When that circus act has ended, people are going to be more starved then ever for a real action fight with two top fighters and being starved, they will want the Canelo GGG fight even more than before. Think about it, anti-climactic events leave people wanting what it is they were hoping for. If anyone can afford $100 for the Circus, they can afford less for the best match up in Boxing. Besides, many will stream everything anyway. I doubt like hell Canelo GGG is going to suffer with so many fans let down in their expectation in lieu of a true top boxing fight.

I would bet my left nut that when the "fight" ends, the overwhelming majority of all fans are going to be pissed off and say "What the *** was that crap"! And then go on to crave a true super fight with Canelo and GGG that will be a war and the circus act will fuel the desire to see something that promises to live up to its billing.

I don't think it will matter. Different fanbases and demographics will purchase each of these fights. I don't see one stealing anything from the other. In fact, the GGG/Canelo fight will be just what the sport needs to wash the bitter taste from it's mouth after the amateurish McGregor/Floyd exhibition. It will help to get boxing right back on track where it belongs. Especially with the knowledge that Floyd will finally go away with his cherry-picked 50-0 record and never to be seen competing inside of a boxing ring again.

It is possible, but as long as you bet on Mayweather with MMA fans you will end up counting money at the end of the night which will soften the blow. Then that will also finance watching Canelo-Golovkin, which will make that fight even better because everything is better paying with other peoples money.

I think watching MMA fans get their dreams shattered and taking their money will be fun. SO I think who you watch will is all important and a good sense of humor because it is not something to take seriously.

I believe that too and a ton of UFC fans will be brainwashed into believing Mac can win which is the "plight of the ignorant" in its fullest glory and like you said, Boxing fans will cleanup on those bets like taking candy from a child. Oddly, those bets will help Boxing fans because when tons of bets come in on Mac, that will raise the odds a little for Mac and this will lead to a bigger money cleanup for Boxing fans, and a bigger shock to those who bet on Mac. But, the UFC industry will make some long term money and try to get revenge by staging more of these type fights but with bringing boxers in the Octagon. This could end up being an ongoing rivalry.
