Kovalev has taken short money for the right fights his entire career. It's a damn shame but it's a big reason I respect him so much as a fighter.

LMAO. Yes, Duva is protecting herself by only putting Kov's payday for the fight on a percentage. It was Duva who told Kov, not to fight Stevenson on Showtime when Showtime was willing to pay Kov more than HBO would! Yes, it is Duva and it is Kov's fault for still being with that incompetent female dog. She screwed him on the Stevenson deal, she screwed him with the first Ward fight, and she screwed him again for the rematch. Also, Duva and Kov agreed to let Roc Nation be the lead promoter in the rematch. Duva was in the first fight, and apparently failed to do a good enough job. Kov can keep getting ****d because he is too cheap to buy a translator or too ******ed to read a contract before signing it. He has no one to blame but himself.

See, THIS is why Kovalev keeps grinding on Back Ward. He HAS to sell tickets to get paid! Which is b.s. Anyone with a working pulse knows who the action fighter is, who the one is who ISN'T as boring as watching paint dry. Back Ward can't even sell out small arenas in his hometown for God's sake. Not that Kovalev sells out big arenas, but he certainly moves move tickets than Mr Boring Headbutter. I'll be as glad as Kovalev when he KOs this Back Ward chump and moves on to the next fight... one where he will be respected again.

Yet Ward is getting paid more and Kovalev has no fan base to speak of. If Kovalev "moves more tickets", why is he the B-side AGAIN?
