He and his team knew the financial breakdown in the contract of the first fight since there was a rematch clause. Those details are in the agreement at that time. I think it is because you have all of Ward's team confirming that they have proof that John David Jackson actually made the call to leave Kovalev. He allegedly said that he hated Kovalev and is treated bad. Jackson admitted that if the money was higher that he would have left. That is causing trouble in their team. I would not be surprised if this is the last time they work together.

Kovalev's gonna make a couple million $ from this fight. Why some are talking as if he's about to go broke? He's not a huge materialist a la Mayweather.

Kovalev is angry because he's not getting the money he wanted and people are commenting on it. Kovalev is obviously a very ****** person and without boxing he probably will go broke.

Kovalev can't get the money he wants because he has to take what HBO gives Mainevents it's that simple. So if Ward wants the lions share of the money it leaves little for them. Adonis made this observation that an open purse bid would generate the best deal for everyone but Kathy needed the money so she took a deal w/ HBO that was not in the best interest of her fighters.

this is more evidence ward did not want this fight. he structured it so he got all the guaranteed money and thought kovalev wouldnt take the lowball low guarantee money since the first fight flopped. kov is either dumb or doesnt care about the money. maybe both but blaming him for taking the bad offer...isnt that what you wanted ggg to do against ward? it was the only way the fight would get made. blame ward for being selfish and delusioanal. only a crazy person like kov takes a deal like this.

This has nothing to do with Ward. Roc Nation guarantees Ward's purse. If Jay Z just loves Ward that much and is willing to take a loss then whatever. That's his money and he will probably write it off of his taxes.

Main Events is just screwing their fighter and putting a cherry on it for damage control. This is criminal what they are doing.
