RNS ain't saints they overpaid cotto and ward years ago to steal them away. They thought they would get more fighters to follow and a seat at the head table in boxing by handing out that big cash. Instead they lose money every time they promote a fight and are going out of business. Today they would pay ward less if they could but they can't because he has a contract and is owed these amounts regardless if the ppv flops. I would skip interviews too if I get paid money like this no matter what. LMAO

Literally the 2 worst promoters in boxing right now. If any other promoter had this fight the buzz would be higher for this fight. Probably the worst promotion I can think of. You have 2 p4p ranked fighters who have each done strong ratings in previous fights. And they each basically sabotaging their own ppv SMH

You can say Ward's a good businessmen and he played on Kovalev's desire to avenge himself.. Damn though, nothing guaranteed? Assuming it sells the same 160k as before, 160k * 65 =10.4m - 50% HBO = 5.2m, 5.2m*75%(Kov) = 3.9m for Kov, 8m for Ward.

The 75% comes from their split not the total. If it's a 50/50 split he'll make half of that $3.9 mil. This has nothing to do with Ward though. He's getting overpayed by Roc Nation but that's none of Kovalevs business.
