Nobody should even care about Floyd's legacy if somehow someway the absolutely unthinkable happened and Floyd lost.

The infinitely more important question should be what happens to boxing if McGregor won.

If McGregor won it would be like that 6 mile long asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs, except boxing would be the dinosaurs and the asteroid would be a McGregor win

Let's face it Mcgregor has to win by Ko to win this so that looks bad for a start. But none of the guys you mentioned lost to a guy who's never boxed before, despite reports not even as an amateur, and is doing this as an on the side hobby. It'd take alot from Floyds legacy, and send alot of kids to MMA instead of boxing gyms.

So boxers can only lose the respect of their accomplishments if they lose to a non-boxer? Does that also destroy the legacy's of guys Floy beat since while in this speculative discussion he's caught an L to Conor, but he's beaten everyone else up til now? So a Floyd L to Conor f#cks up Floyd's & Manny's legacy's to some degree?

I don't agree with the premise one can even lose the respect of their accomplishments via a future L after who've accomplished whatever you've accomplished.

And kids are already going to MMA gyms. I live in a fairly large metro area & there are roughly twice as many MMA gyms as boxing gyms.

Nah. These guys all lost to pro boxers. Conor is a MMA fighter who has never had a pro fight in his entire life. Losing to Conor would definitely hurt his legacy and it will make boxing look really bad.
