What are your thoughts on holding, headlocking, and rabbit punching by Kovalev. Can't have a Corrales Castillo situation if Kovalev is gonna hold and clinch when Ward isn't holding and clinching.hes not as good as ward who jumps forward head first without thowing any punches, locks up his opponents arm and hits him with his free hand, wrestles his opponent into position to break off and get a clean shot. hmm what else oh yeah he landed a ton of low blows too. none of this is legal of course but i suppose you have won the semantic game and instead of callin it what it is which is cheating you call it inside fighting. i thought inside fighting was corrales vs castillo, i didnt realize it was one guy desperately grabbing the other because he couldnt box with his opponent.Comment

Kovalev doesn't necessarily have to "fight on the inside" to beat Ward's body. Kovalev is great at throwing hard jabs and straight rights to the body from a distance. He knocked down Agnew with a jab to the body. He also knocked down Caparello with a straight right to the belly. I also remember he got off some nice hooks to the body when Pascal had his high guard up.
If Kov quits head-hunting and throws as many straight punches downstairs as he can, he's got a great shot at hurting Ward (or slowing him down at least).Comment
