Kov's camp just sound utterly confused at this point.

It's clear Kov needs to keep Ward on the end of his punches, using his superior reach and range fighting. A little bit better movement and an attempt to just try and box Ward from distance, rather than get in and take his head off, and Kov might win this.

But it sounds like he's going to go in there and try and take his head off.

      Ward by comfortable UD.

Kov is an awful inside fighter.

hes not as good as ward who jumps forward head first without thowing any punches, locks up his opponents arm and hits him with his free hand, wrestles his opponent into position to break off and get a clean shot. hmm what else oh yeah he landed a ton of low blows too. none of this is legal of course but i suppose you have won the semantic game and instead of callin it what it is which is cheating you call it inside fighting. i thought inside fighting was corrales vs castillo, i didnt realize it was one guy desperately grabbing the other because he couldnt box with his opponent.

Break his arms? Now his ribs? JDJ going to be asking for a thigh, a wing, might as well get the whole 12-piece bucket and call it a night.

funny how everyone talks about wart's body work yet it was wart himself the only one in the fight that looked visibly hurt by a body punch.

Ward is the one who needs to get on the inside, feint and rush in. He did the right thing last fight which led to Kovalev tying up and grabbing - and when he is doing that for half the round then thats 90 seconds he's not throwing punches.
I hope Jackson has worked on a plan to stop Ward bull-rushing in. As others have said, step back and uppercuts.
.....Barrera landed less than 25% of his punches.... Thats not landing a lot lol
