You're wasting your time...that clown has never stepped in a ring in his life and doesn't know what he's looking at.Give a pass? I objectively stated that he fought that way to neutralize and shut down Ward's rough inside game. It is a simple statement of fact that should be obvious to anyone. Are you capable of thinking clearly, without emotion and bias? Apparently not.
You are arguing like a 5 year old.
Also, to help you out in understanding those gifs a little more comprehensively, watch what Ward is doing with his head. That might help you understand why Kovalev is trying to control Ward's head.Comment

Inside fighting does not include holding, double leg takedowns, single leg takedowns, and arm locks.seriously.....he could utilize his uppercuts and body shots off of his jab more
he could also vary is jab a bit more...speed...velocity and to the body and head
he has to back dre up!!
seems like and his team dont have many ideas besides a ko win which is very likely..he couldnt ko chilemba or a 50 year old Hopkins so knocking out ward seems a bit far fetchedComment

Am I the only one that appreciates a good professional clinch? I appreciates all facets of boxing, it's a ****ing fight so you do what it takes to win.Comment

People saying what Kov's doing here is illegal have never boxed or don't know ****.
Kov's is basically redirecting Ward's head because he comes in head 1st. Yeah Kov should just let Ward slam into him with his head. There's no way to get a punch off in those instances because Ward is so good at staying low and coming in.Comment

Agree. Kov and his team prepared for the in fighting, and bullying, by holding and head locking, but that tired him out immensely, and he really had no answer for the body shots on the inside. He's gonna have to knock him out to win. Ward is too strong on the inside.Holding to avoid an inside fight was a big part of Team Kovs plan and it worked to a degree but led to him tiring along with other things ward did.... but for the life of me I cant understand why these posters will post about wards clinching but ignore this at the same time as if what we saw didn't happen... its delusional
but if he can jab more and work off the jab hehas a great chance at winning
And yeah, Ward got a lot of **** for clinching, but what about Kovalev? It's not like he was really fighting his way out of the clinches. He's just not as strong as Ward, and got tired out.Comment
