For as much as a fuck up that he is outside of the ring, I actually look forward to his fights...The guy has REAL skills, and there always seems to be some legit drama, not to mention he is way tougher than most people give him credit for. Kinda like Floyd in that way.
I think what really hurt him in the eyes of boxing fans was when he ducked the post-fight interview after the Maidana whoopin'. He might be looked at different today had he manned up and showed some humility in defeat. Huge missed opportunity.

I'm not here to cheerlead for Broner, but why would you say the guy doesn't have real skills? The guy has shown real flashes of brilliance a'la Zab Judah, but has always lacked in mental preparation/fortitude. He doesn't have bad footwork - he just believes too much of his own bullshit, thus he doesn't use his footwork as he should, instead relying on a poor man's version of the Mayweather shoulder roll that he simply can't pull off successfully. If he is a "long way from world class", what is world class to you? On a planet of BILLIONS of people and millions of men who engage in the sport of boxing, there is just a handful that weigh 140-147 pounds that can beat the man.
