Adrien Broner mostly has been commended for his decision to fight Mike Garcia next. Garcia has to move up in weight, from 135 pounds to 140, to make it happen. A textbook technician with power, Garcia still is a dangerous opponent for Broner (33-2, 24 KOs), who seems better suited to fight at junior welterweight (140 pounds) than welterweight (147).

Just because PBC is full of cherry pickers who duck even B-level guys like Grenados doesn't make Grenados an elite fighter. Broner will get respect for fighting Mikey because Mikey IS an elite level guy. He didn't for Grenados because Grenados wasn't. It's not that complicated. Why do so many of these boxers whine about how the media treats them? You want to be mentioned with Floyd because you fought Grenados? I mean yeah, I guess if you're cherry picking then that is a good way to be compared to Floyd, but I don't think that's the way Broner means.

Now that he's fighting a REAL top guy again, Broner will get that respect. But when Mikey dominates him, he'll understand why he's not considered an elite fighter. He will get respect for fighting the best, as he should, but to get credit for being the best, you have to not just fight the best, but beat the best, and Broner has never done that once in his career.

Geee, Broner. Maybe it's because you're an all-around POS? Clean up your act, then maybe you'll get some respect.
As far as respect from boxing? You've failed every time you've stepped up and fought real competition.
Even this fight against Garcia is garbage IMO. It should be entertaining, but the fact is Broner should be fighting in the 154 division now.

There are fighters that "cherry-pick," but the PBC has nothing to do with it. GGG, Canelo, and Pacquiao, all cherry-pick, and neither is part of the PBC. However, I agree with you that Broner shouldn't expect a reward for fighting Grandados at 147! The fight was supposed to be @ 140, where Granados beat Amir Imam (in a PBC fight) and not 147! Broner also turned down an offer to fight Pacquiao (which was a cherry-pick by Pacquiao) and then couldn't make weight, so he doesn't deserve any praise! I salute Broner for fighting Mikey Garcia, just like I did for him fighting Maidana, but he has to win! Agreeing to a big fight is what you're supposed to do, the question is will you win? We shall see! For Broner, first things first, "make the weight!"

Broner crying again? What a shock. Nobody wants to be like him, he's a damn joke. Getting locked up and threating to kill himself monthly. Weak minded clown seriously saying he deserves credit for barely beating a journeyman. Lol!
