Ward is talking because he is being asked questions as he attempts to promote the fight, which he is supposed to do. I doubt he thinks Kovalev is afraid of him. It appears he is saying that both sides can say whatever they want but none of that will matter because they will be in the same ring on the 17th to settle it. May be the best man win.
