I like |Ward a LOT. But he's getting way too much of an ego on him. This is one bet I want to lose... I hope Kovalov wins and brings him back down to earth. Even though I'm betting on Ward....

I don't know if there is a gap in ebonics or what, but Ward is simply saying that the trash talk doesn't matter because they have to fight on the 17th. Ward has said previously that it was a close fight that he felt he won. Kov has been talking more trash than Ward has. I'm surprised he's being viewed as the less-liked guy in all this. And people are still calling him a coward after he moved up to 175 and fought Kov. Then, he is rematching him when people said he wouldn't. What do you want from a boxer? "Oh, but we don't like his interviews." Geez, boxing fans are something else.

Its cuz they aint boxing fans & never been in the ring.

Interesting, exactly how should Ward act? In a sport where confidence is vital, you criticize him for having too much belief in himself?

Do you hold Kov to the same standard? Kov is anything but humble for the rematch and hardly anyone seems to criticize him for this attitude.

I think Kovalev is in real trouble. I believe he won the first fight easily but if he learned anything else from that fight it should be he'll be once again fighting alone while Ward will have a referee that will let him hold at will and three judges who will give Ward every close round. Either Kovalev has to beat Ward from ring post to ring post all 12 rounds or knock him out to win. All Ward will have to do is hang on like a leech and not get knocked out to win.

One thing about Ward, he is not a trashtalker and likable guy. I am glad the fight happens may the best man win!

To me, Ward has become much more UNLIKABLE since this whole Kovalev saga started.

I wouldn't call him a coward per se, but I don't know where Kovalev got this boogeyman/tough guy persona in the eyes of Boxingscene posters... He acts like he has such a mean streak, and utter disrespect for Ward, but than clams up when they are face to face. I have always liked really mean fighters like Erik Morales and Aaron Pryor - Sergey Kovalev does not bear any resemblance.

Ward is keeping it real the fight is like 1 and half away everybody debating and arguing who won wont get in the ring is just Ward and Kovalev idk i sense a vintage Ward in this fight i think he being highly underestimated alot of hate they seen Wars handle adversity and he gets bashed for it this fight will change the way fans dissect a fight
