The battle between the two undefeated fighters Kelly Pavlik/Jermain Taylor bouts 1 & 2 ruined both fighters. Neither were the same after those fights.
Bowe/Holyfield III fight ruined Rid**** Bowe.
The Camacho/Rosario fight ruined Hector Camacho. Hector was never the same after that fight.
Jones/Tarver I fight ruined Roy Jones, Jr.
The Thrilla in Manila fight ruined Muhammad Ali.
The Fight of the Century ruined Joe Frazier.
The Mayweather/Hatton fight ruined Ricky.
The Barrera/Hamed fight ruined Naseem Hamed.
The Toney/Jirov fight ruined Vasiliy Jirov.
The Malignaggi/Broner fight ruined Adrien Broner, after embarking upon jumping up two weight classes from 135 in order to compete at welterweight; Perhaps due to a lack of focus and discipline which subsequently shaved years off his prime.
Maidana ruined Victor Ortiz and Victor Ortiz ruined Andre Berto.
Garcia/Khan; Amir has not been the same fighter since.
Pryor/Arguello I & II ruined both fighters.
The Margarito/Cotto I fight ruined Margarito. He would never be the same fighter. He may have won the battle but from the wear and tear it ultimately ended up costing him the war. His career went downhill from that point on.Last edited by champion4ever; 06-04-2017, 04:45 AM.Comment

I think Naseem Hamed was going downhill by the time he got to the states. Disputes with his trainer, shortcuts in training affecting his weight and reflexes - he wasn't even the best version of himself against Kevin Kelley (he was dis*****g with his trainer over a libel case and did 2 weeks of training, see his 1998 Sky interview on youtube) . The Barrera fight was just the straw that broke the camel's back. Not taking away anything from Barrera, it was a great win, but Naseem wasn't in the best shape, physically or mentally.Comment

You can't include Pac Margacheato if you don't include Pacquiao/Marquez 4. Pac won fights after Margacheato.
Let's analyze this.
Pacquiao wasn't gunshy until he got slept by Marquez. He tried to KO Bradley the first time and failed. But he tried. After the sleeping, he hasn't actually tried to knock anybody out. Who cares about winning when you're a KO artist who no longer goes for a knockout, finds Jesus, etc.? No, Marquez ruined him psychologically.Comment
