Sergio/chavez. Won the fight but that knockdown in the 12th ruined his career.
Fights that ruined fighters

I've always thought the Hagler/Mugabi fight took something away from Hagler. I wouldn't necessarily say he was ruined, but something was taken away from him in that war. In my opinion, this evident by his loss to Leonard. Every time i watch that fight he doesn't look like the same Hagler that would cut the ring off, effectively close distance, etc...Comment

If Ward is getting credit for Dawson instead of the weight drain I guess we can add Tarver for Roy Jones Jr.Comment

I'm going to say Cotto-Margarito 1
In this case I'm going to say the fighter who won that fight was never the same again, Margarito.
Cotto may have been affected and I'm sure he wouldv'e done a little better in his career than what he has done. But I feel that fight ruined Margarito more than it did Cotto. Be it plaster wraps or not.
Holyfield-Bowe trilogy, even though Bowe won that trilogy, Bowe was never the same again after that.Last edited by The Time; 06-03-2017, 11:50 PM.Comment

I think Margarito was already ruined going into the Mosley fight.
Even though he won against Cotto seems like he took the worst of that battle.
Similar to Holyfield vs Bowe.
Rid**** Bowe won the trilogy, but he was never the same after that.
Just my opinion.Last edited by The Time; 06-03-2017, 11:36 PM.Comment
