I would certainly put my money on Spence at this point. At one time Spence would have gotten beat 12-0 or 11-1.

Also, punch stats throughout his career and even in the Brook fight disagree with this 'easy to hit' myth that people have created around Spence.

Also, Floyd, except for when he fought Dela Hoya, Corrales, and Phillip Ndou, always had a reach advantage due to his ridiculously long arms, but Spence has the same reach as he does and he has height too, on top of that a very good jab, so it would be difficult for Floyd no doubt when you add the power, stamina, and activity of Spence.

Oh ya Floyd always had the stamina advantage too, guy absolutely doesn't gas, but Spence doesn't gas either, and he's a southpaw too.

Not saying Spence would win though, am just saying it would be a close fight.
You are a bit right. He is effective with that high guard, I just dont see a "technically sound" fighter. I just say he is a "bit effective" nothing more, nothing less.

And I dont pay any attention to punchstats.

Floyd has no reach advantage. Boxrec and tail of the tape claim he does and also state that he is taller than everyone but its clear as day, that its all inaccurate. To me, everyone he has fought in recent times, was taller, with longer arms, except Pac and JMM.

With 2 year lay off and 40 years old then it will depend how past it he is.

Yes I think so. Floyd looked terrible against PAC and he hasn't got any younger. If Floyd were five years younger no way Spence wins.

Nah man he does have longer arms. That's why his main counter offensive weapon is the pull counter. You need to have longer arms than the opponent to be as effective as Floyd is with that particular technique.

Although yes he doesn't only rely on that reach even for that technique, I'm willing to acknowledge that he uses his legs and hips to propell himself forward a lot of the time, but sometimes he doesn't, sometimes he just plants himself down and laucnhes it, you can tell his arms are longer when he does that.

Remember that guys like Spadafora and Peterson gave Floyd hell in sparring too.
To be fair, Spadafora was a week or two out from a fight, and sharp, while Floyd wasn't in camp at all.

                  To quote Paul Spadafora himself:
"When they put that ****** stuff out there about Mayweather, I am just keeping it real since I am a real dude, I was ten days before a fight. How would I not be ready to get it in? I am going to be sharp. He wasn't in camp. I was in camp. I was the one that was ready to go"

Don't know if you could get a win on the scorecards in a guaranteed clinch fest. Spence didn't even show he can hang out with boxers like in the Brook fight. He has to break or interrupt the developing exchange by brawling his way in knowing it will end in a clinch. So no.

I wouldn't give any WW a chance to beat Floyd. Every time I thought somebody had a shot against him I was wrong. When Floyd says "I am boxing" he's not really bragging because it's true.
