I just cant imagine what JDJ (or anyone) would think that he could offer to Wards team. Secrets about Kovalev? Ward already went 12 with him, so he already knows everything he needs to know.

Just seems unlikely to me.

if they did do what we suspect..... Ward's win over Kovalev will still be fair

it will raise a slight question mark, sure..... like Mayweathers catchweight with Canelo..... but I don't think Ward cares about that heading into such a tough fight against such a motivated competitor

If that were the case, that JDJ was looking for an out, to me it just seems more like a vindictive type thing to join Ward's camp in particular if he's being marginalized on Team Kovalev lately as it seems like he might be based on some of the info & rumors out there.

My main question is did JDJ say anything to anyone with Kov if not Kov himself about this offer. If he didn't that speaks volumes that maybe he was the one shopping for a deal. And not necessarily just that maybe he was the one pursuing a deal, but that even if he wasn't he doesn't trust them enough to tell them whats up when an offer like that comes up from future opposition which brings up some question of his loyalty.

So depending on what the answer is to that question that only JDJ & Team Kov know I think we'll know soon cuz if he didn't tell them I think he'll be dropped soon after the fight or before Kov fights again for sure.

actually that's nothing new. part of boxing history. mofos send girls, paid reporters etc to opposing camps to fish out information. war tactics.

I know that. that's common. buying off S&C coaches and trainers though, i haven't heard of since mayweather and now ward.
