Right now I gotta go with Thurman as #1 at Welter just cos he has the greater depth to his resume, but I'd be picking Spence to beat Keith should they meet in the ring.

spence vs thurman winner would be the #1. i think thurman resume has a little more depth. but spence has done some good work in his 22 fights. dispatching foes that others have not. i am going with spence maybe by late stoppage. he applies too much pressure and cuts the ring off even when he is not engaging. imo i think thurman will get gassed late and start taking some shots. fight will end via stoppage but with spence down on the cards.

I believe Spence will beat Thurman when they finally meet however Thurman is #1 with wins over Garcia/Porter. I do believe Spence has the most impressive win in the WW division right now going over to the UK and beating Brook by KO. The WW division will be red hot for some years to come. Let the Game of Thrones begin!!!

At the moment they are a full division apart Bud is big at 140 and Spence is at 147.Buds my man but wouldn't have the strength to handle Spence but as you say maybe 2018.

There's an argument for that so obviously Spence would run with it as most others probably would. Problem is there are arguments for Thurman and even Manny still despite his subpar level of opposition overall in the last few years + his slower schedule.

I think for me the winner of any fight between Spence, Thurman & Manny decides who's number 1 although even after that if the other guy is still winning there could still be an unclear top guy.
