why do we have to go over the top when someone loses....

wtf is it with this forum when a fighter loses lol. Ive read so much ****ing nonsense over the last couple of days, brooks a bum, he was never any good, he needs to retire.

Why the rubbish? Am i the only one who thought brook looked great in the first half of the fight? Spence wore him down with some great tactics, proved himself and was the better man on the night. Lets give him lots of credit. But is it really necessary to throw brook on the trash heap now?

If you fight at world level you win some and lose some, unless you are an unbelieveable, true elite fighter. What if spence goes onto lose to thurman, you all gonna say he was ****?
And if spence is the fighter people think he is, then wheres the disgrace in coming 2nd best? Or is that how it works on here, if you arent the best in the division you are crap?

Its no wonder why some fighters are reluctant to test themselves when they have people ****ting on them once they lose.

The guy fought golovkin and spence back to back, give him some credit.

As long as the eye holds up theres still plenty of great matches he could be involved in.
Brook can come back. Stop writing fighters off so quickly. All it takes is a couple of good wins and you are back at the top.

F- Troll Thread. Do you really think PBC fans care for the excuse about Brook being ''smart'' therefore the fight had to be stopped? What's the point of ever watching Brook again on general betting odds?

Me personally, Hearn is full of shıt like Arum. C'mon two eye sockets broken? pathetic lies. Is Spence more deadly to the face than Rigondeaux? Donaire was on the back foot going 12 covering his eye to help his vision and keep it safe! The same with Algieri whose eye was almost closed up by Rd 2 yet went 12 against Ruslan!!! Even Bradley went all the way to 12 he could've suffered massive swelling like Colon..

He gave up. The eye was just an excuse and the Brits are in denial juicing up this fake story, just like the practical MRI shots that Arum had Manny do...

I absolutely agree. I hate the era we are in as far as how garbage so called fans are. The greatest fighters ever had losses. One loss doesn't mean you were a crap fighter, you may have just lost to someone who is gonna go onto be really elite. I think Brook gave a great account of himself in the Spence fight, but unfortunately for him it wasn't enough. Props to the Brook and also to Spence for a great fight this weekend.

Maybe because certain posters go over the top before the fight, saying stuff like Spence is the equivalent of Jeff lacy and he is an American hype job that will get ktfo.

            Know anyone like that?

I agree, Brook looked great for the most part, but perhaps you're the wrong messenger for this since you talked mad shyt about how garbage Spence was before the fight. You fueled the fire, don't cry about getting burnt.

I still think Brook is a really, really good fighter -- I just think he falls shy of A level. Just my opinion. Which means jack **** because I'm just some random f**ker on the internet. But yeah, I'm not trashing the guy or throwing him in the trash heap. He's still a very good boxer. I just see him as a really solid B to B+ level guy. And that's not an insult. Hell B or B+ still means you beat most of the guys you put in front of him in and around the weight class. And I thought he was a B or B+ guy before his fight with Spence. His biggest win was a very close decision win over a limited Shawn Porter. And I love Porter, man. He's a freaking bulldog. But I think that we all know that Porter is not the most well rounded and dynamic guy out there, to say the least.

I mean is it considered an insult to consider someone a B+ level guy? He was in there with an A level opponent and while Brook gave a very commendable showing for himself -- as they say, class tells over time and by the end of that fight, IMO what you saw was the ever so slightly subtle yet clear margin between a legit A level fighter and a B+ level fighter.

I'm just gonna add a side note. What's funny about this forum is not only fighters who take losses get treated like garbage, but even fighters who win close fights and get tested are **** on. Examples:

-Thurman beats Collazo (Thurman is garbage because he got caught with a body shot by old Collazo).

-GGG breaks Brook's face and takes his 0 (people say GGG got exposed because he got hit flush by Brook a few times)

-Crawford KOs Gamboa (fans say Gamboa exposed Crawford because he caught him a few times)

-Spence stops Brook (fans say Brook schooled Spence early and he only lost because he gassed and Golovkin ruined him)

-GGG beats Jacobs (Jacobs went 12 and Golovkin didn't look as dominant. Exposed doe!)

There are also a lot of younger fans who didn't start watching boxing until Floyd's time, so they think being undefeated and not getting hit once is everything and having one or a couple losses means your ****.

Top fighters get tested and don't always look so great. Some take losses along the way and improve afterwards. Too many fans don't understand that.
