I just don't believe that it was because he was worried it would go blind. I think it was just pain. He could protect the eye if he wanted to, but that would mean leaving the body exposed which was beaten far far far worse than the eye. That's why he quit.

Those Spence barrages were brutal and Brook couldn't take another one by the end, so he quit. Lets not forget Brook got up at the end of the 9 count, so he could claim he tried to beat the count. If he was legit just going to take the knee out without preparing excuse, he wouldn't have got up.

Even now, team Brook refuses to admit they would've lost if they didn't get an unlucky injury. Specifically claim the body shots didn't do anything. I see Spence hurting Brook immediately, within the first mintute and half of the fight, to the body.

I see a lot of people trying to take credit away from Spence by saying how bad Brook is now. that's boxing for you. Claim that Spence is too inexperienced and going to get whooped, but change the narrative when he shows he's the real deal. People are even saying that Brook would have won if he hadn't already fought GGG. Brook did well to stop and go on to fight another day. Considering that he was down on all 3 scorecards at that point, it's silly to think he would have won if he would have lasted all 12. Spence broke him down and justified some of the excitement around him. The GGG fight isn't why his other eye socket got crushed in this fight. Spence is. Tie to start giving boxers their due when they rise to the occasion.

The smart thing would be to chill and see what happens next. I doubt Brook is going to have another doctor put him under for HOURS while they go up in his jaw to fix his eye again if his eye socket isn't busted again. I thought you boxed before???

I have no problem with Brooks taking a knee and stopping the fight.

Brook saying he quit because he was scared of losing his sight isn't making excuses or taking anything away from Spence's victory.

Spence himself knew that's what happened and he even mentioned it in his interview after the fight.

It is taking away from his win. For ****s sake........He quit because his eye got beat to a pulp along with his body and i was telling my ol lady they should stop the fight. Posters saying its because of his eye woo woo........SPENCE did THAT to his eye. Yall forget that **** or something he did quit but blaming the eye is cool and no need to take extra punishment knowing you cant win. Afterwards though if you're a real champ you congratulate the new champ who btw is the reason your eye IS BUSTED UP. Give Errol full credit.

I totally disagree with current title. It should be (Brook Quit Vs. Spence Because He Was annoyed by Body shots and mental breakdown). The worst beating is one boxer breaks your well and spirit before punishing your body. That's what Errol did against Brook. Do not be bitter losers. Just admit the Best man won.

It's not like Brook would be fighting a prime Khan, with inhuman speed and accuracy. Think he's been through one too many wars. Hard to see him coming back sharp, but it's possible. Generally speaking, getting knocked out cold is better than taking a prolonged beating for longevity. Right now, I think Khan should retire, personally. The dude must have enough money.

Spence definitely took a piece out of Brook. But Khan has been fighting wars for many years now. I remember how fast and ridiculously sharp he was before Maidana. He has looked good after that, but I legit think, he's never been as explosive and insanely fast after Maidana. On another note, that is why I will always respect Khan. The Maidana fight is a modern classic, and pure warrior sheet, not giving up. Maidana at 140 was an insanely hard puncher, p4p all time hard puncher at that weight in his prime. Maidana used to bulldoze people.

Brook is going to need SURGURY again. But WTF is Andre Dirrell and Nicolas Walters getting??? Sex changes and RETIREMENT for being COWARDS is what they need. Neither ONE had JACK SHT wrong with them.
