He could have shown spirit and heart but here he is trying to save face.
Was he saving face or was he saving his face?

        Evander Holyfield
        Mickey Ward,
        Arturo Gatti
        Tommy Hearns
        Diego Corrales

This is just to name a few.
No fighter that gets in the ring to fight is a coward or a quitter. They have to think about themselves and their families. Why would they risk their lives and health just to please you?? At the end of the day wether a fighter wins, loses, gets injured, goes blind, or gets killed in the ring your not gonna give a **** about him. You really don't care what happens to him..
Your just gonna find another favorite fighter to cheer on and move on. As far as him talking crap before the fight, that's part of the sport. What's he supposed to say?? Of course he's gonna say he's gonna win and whoop his opponents ass!
It's part of hyping up the fight.

I've been cheering Spence for a long time dude . I do care about a fighters health. I never want to see anything bad happen but at the time he took a knee I have seen many of fighters getting beat worse than that, I mean hell vital klitschko eye was hanging off against Lennox Lewis and he didn't want to stop. Brook should have just dropped with the next combination and this would even be a topic. It just look bad cause his manager saved him against triple GGG and if you remember Brook said in the post fight interview he wanted to fight on so what was so different in this fight with 4 min to go ?

Spence broke him and made him quit. This is boxing and that's why they fight 12 rounds for a championship.

Pretty disappointed with the end of the fight to be fair

Was hoping there would be no excuses after the fight but all I'm hearing is excuses

Wouldn't fancy taking a beat down knowing i could lose my vision if I'm being honest

No point being a blind millionaire

Spence is a freak at 147 and wanted it more at the end of the day . Good fight and he was coming on stronger at the end . Definitely one to watch in the future

I love kell Brook to pieces I'm British but anyone who believes his excuses are crazy he was already slowing down before the eye like many of said he simply had his heart broke by a kid who was ready to go to hell and back to leave with that belt Spence was too good if they fight 10 times I have my money on errol 10 times. Brook needs to face this and give spence far more credit. Congratulations to Erroll all the hype was justified and he really is the TRUTH. I honestly believe he's a superstar in the making Cong**** to the U.S too for moulding yet another fine fighter

My problem with his statement is him saying the fight might have gone differently if it wasn't for the eye. He was on his way to an L or possible KO. Whatever he wants to tell himself about taking a knee won't change the fact that he did. I see people saying no one can criticize him because we're not in his shoes. If you're a fan of the sport you have an understanding of the courage these boxers have but you can also recognize when someone is taking the easy way out. He took the easy way out so he can say it was all because of his eye and not admit he was bested by a better fighter.

EXACTLY!!! And this is NOT the same type of I "Quit" Walters. OR Andre "I STAY Down" Dirrell.

You stop the fight for busted eye or even a broken nose I don't have a problem with it. The nose is the tricky one because with a mouth guard in you can't breath. Once you nose is shot and it get's reset...You maybe have a round or 2 left.

Brook is a tough mofo, went up to fight GGG n fought the top American prospect

He still can rebound, two fights n then challenge a title
