It was a challenging fight and unfortunately for Brook he faced in Spence an excellent technician. Errol kept pounding that jab into Brooks good eye and I think Brook just faced the inevitable and decided to quit. Valiant effort put forth by Brook but he probably made the right decision to avoid more permanent injury. Kudos to Spence for an excellent and poised performance.

Name me 5 boxers that have gone blind from boxing. I know Israel Vazquez lost his left eye but that guy had gone through WARS. Brook is just finally realizing that at the elite level hes gonna get hit. He aint fighting no jojo dan or guys with sorry records!!!! To me he quits when he cant handle the pressure and blames it on his eye so he wont get KO. He Andre Dirrell 2.0! Quit to not get hit anymore!!!!Comment

Damn, this comment is so lost. Those people who can't put down a doughnut, cig, drink or drug are the same PC-sissified people like you. Those are the same quitters like Brook.
The old school generation was about having will power and heart - ****, even Floyd would have never quit and fought with a broken hand and he could have suffered permanent nerve damage if he used it wrongly for the rest of that fight.
Brook doesn't have that "it" factor - bottom line. He has no heart - Margarito is a legend in Mexico because he doesn't quit. Brook is part of this new cuck UK culture - funny how he also quits when he's losing fights. If he broke it in the 6th round - why didn't he quit then? Why? Because he thought he was still winning. When he was getting his ass kicked, he decided to use the convenient excuse.
Tough words from a kid writing them through a computer screen thats for sure. You never been in a championship fight, won a belt and you got the balls to go around calling someone who accomplished more than you ever will a quitter/coward. Leave your mothers basement you lil ****Comment

Basically you have a cracked bone on your face and skull and repeated blows could cause some serious irrepairable damage that might alter how you live the rest of your life.....a fractured eye socket is something very serious that might if have continous blows fracture even more.....imagine trying to kick a ball and tackle with a fractured bone in your leg ....it could end up destroyed ....the question i need to ask is its two eyes now so something tells me he has weak bones around his faceComment

I agree, but he's also not being honest. He was trying to quit in the corner before he took the knee in the 11th. His trainer wouldn't let him throw the towel in.
Go back to the fight when his trainer told him, "Don't say anything!" The fight was over at that moment. He was done. Was it because of the eye at that moment? Idk, but that was the moment he decided he wasn't going to finish the fight.Comment

If you aren't undefeated, you're damaged goods lol? Probably doesn't realize that now Brook is claiming the other eye's orbital bone is fractured also.
Spence can't be Manny becasue Manny won a title in his 9th division - no one is Manny. Can Spence be Floyd? I doubt it - he doesn't have the defensive prowess to maintain that longevity. But Spence has the potential to be an ATG.Comment

Brook had only 4 minutes left to finish the fight, he was tired while Spence was relatively fresh. Speed, Stamina and Power simply wasn't there for Brook and neither was his heart. He quit against GGG, they whispered in his ear to go out there on the promise that they will save him face by throwing the towel in. Look at their corner during the Spence fight, Ingle d****s the towel over his head and says don't say anything. Because he knew the cameras were on them and they knew what Kell had on his mind. He wasn't hurt during that first knock down, he just wanted the punches to stop.
Kell is all about quitting and saving face for doing it. Fair enough he wants to save his eye and no one should blame him for that. But he doesn't deserve to be called a warrior.
A quit is a quit.
Brook's fans deserved better from him, one of the best matches of his career on a huge ppv platform and you take a knee. You don't deserve any sort of praise, not when you give away a world title like that.Comment
