And they will see a boxer absolutely destroy the top UFC fighter.

The idea that this fight taking place is bad for boxing is absolutely hilarious. It's not bad for boxing. It's just bad for Golden Boy.
The idea that any kind of mismatches with no intrigue is good for boxing is hilarious.

The thing is, De La Hoya has no right to criticize it considering that he made Canelo/Chavez Jr.

You'll be putting your house on a Floyd win then?

Please I know JACK sht about conor mcgregor's boxing career... Can you please tell me how many boxing CHAMPIONSHIP belts he's won?? Or his boxing record??? Because for some reason I can't find any???

Again please post links. And don't just tell me about all those wins and belts.
Belts don't mean shit these days everyone got one and Khan hasn't won an significant fight at 147 yet, he had no business to be fighting for a belt a 154.

I'm not on board with Mayweather fighting McGregor for his 50th win, but Oscar could have been getting Canelo better fights than those.

Well, I disagree with that statement but I do agree with him that Mayweater McGregor is a circus act that shouldn't take place in the first place.
You guys are fake boxing fans. You pretend to care about the sport but you don't.

Dana White, Ronda Rousey, and McGregor have been taking a dump on Mayweather, and by association, the sport of boxing itself for years now without reply. Many casual fans have actually bought the hype and actually believe these MMA fighters are better technicians and more talented than boxers.

By completely humiliating and exposing McGregor in front of all the the boxing and MMA fans, and other casual fans, people will flock back to boxing and see MMA for what it truly is.

There is logical standpoint for a boxing fan to argue against this fight. To say it will destroy boxing is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard.

Canelo vs Chavez, along with his ridiculous catchweights and GGG against all of his bums was bad for boxing, May-Pac was bad for boxing, May-Mac is most definitely not bad for boxing. This fight will create new fans for the sport and bring a lot of crossover exposure.

Yawl letting your hate for Mayweather blind you to the truth.

O not if he steamrolls or embarrasses Connor. If Connor last 12 rounds sincenje never fought more than 3-5 rounds??? That will make UFC look good. Especially if Floyd does a dancing with the stars show

It's a silly circus fight, but De La Hoya is making way too big of a deal about this. He gets butthurt with anything Floyd does.

Fans (mostly casual UFC and McGregor fans) are willing to pay to see it. Whether De La Hoya likes it or not, it will sell and it should be a fun event regardless.

I have little to no doubt that De La Hoya would put Canelo in there against Conor if the opportunity was available.
