This is not boxing vs MMA and this fight will not make boxing look good and MMA look bad. Floyd is a world class boxer who's going to fight a man who isn't even a boxer and never had a pro fight in his life. A C-level fighter would school Conor. It's a freak show and I'm not a fan of it.
If a C level boxer would school McGregor then all the more reason for this fight to happen, to reveal the truth to these MMA fools and casual fools who actually believe that MMA fighters stand a chance.

This is not MMA vs Boxing? Did you really just say that?

The best boxer is fighting the best MMA fighter and it's not MMA vs Boxing? I can't comprehend that logic, or rather, lack of it.

Finally, even if you don't like the match up, why you got your panties up in a bunch? All you gotta do is just not tune in. How does this fight affect your wellbeing in anyway whatsoever?

This thinking is garbage. There are haters everywhere and every color, hating on anyone who has something that they don't.

My coworkers hate on me because they all look 9 months pregnant, and I'm a gym rat.

We ALL get hated on, because there are lame a s s haters everywhere that wont build their damn self up instead of trying to tear others down.

Do you know ANYTHING about MMA???? This isn't MMA vs Boxing, because It's being contested STRICTLY under the rules of boxing. And if you want to talk what sport is closer to a street fight, it's MMA hands down.

McGregor would take Floyd to the ground and EASILY beat his a s s up one end and down the other in probably under a minute in an actual street fight. Or maybe he would kick Floyd's teeth out of his head instead.

In this pure boxing match, mcgreggor doesn't have a prayer.

That's the main reason why it shouldnt happen. It's a circus act not a competive fight. It's not boxing vs MMA because it's a boxer vs an MMA fighter under boxing rules. It's just two money hungry fighters that try to hype up a pointless fight and try their best to sell it to the public.

Who cares what casual fools think? Anyone with some knowledge know damn well Conor is not going to win.

This is a boxing site not a fansite. We discuss all topics. If I don't like something I will vocie my opinion, is that so difficult to understand?

Who cares what casual fans think? Lol, who do you think buys the ppvs?

And were you a hardcore boxing fan from the beginning? No, of course not. You were once a casual fan too, just like these fools. Floyd Mayweather embarassing Corny Mac is maybe the motivation they need to become boxing hardcores in the near future instead of MMA or other sport hardcores.

If you don't like something? Lol, if you such a hardcore boxing fan you wouldn't be bothered by a non title fight between an old man and an mma fighter. This doesn't affect you in anyway whatsoever. The only logical explanation for your displeasure is jealousy and hate for Floyd Mayweather.

The man is retired and dropped all his titles so that the prime fighters can fight for them. He's doing his own thing on the side and you can't help yourself. You're acting like a jealous ex girlfriend.

Dude you clearly don't know anything about MMA either for you to compare it to a street fight.

In a street fight you can use a knife, a gun, a baseball bat, a brick, or anything you can get your hands on. You can kick someone in the balls or grab em and squeeze hard, or you can bite the **** out of someone.

To compare MMA to a street fight is ridiculous to say the least. There's no ref in a street fight and there's no octogon, Floyd can hit and run all day long in an open plane and McGregor wouldn't be able to do jack.

"Jealousy", "hate" and blablabla....Jesus f-king Christ! The way you ****ride Floyd is amazing. You defend Floyd like a 14 year old girl mad at someone who don't like Justin Beiber's new song and you obviously take this very personal. You even think this is some kind of battle between boxing and MMA and anyone who dont support this fight is apparently a "hater".

Once again this is a boxing site and I'll discuss any topic related to boxing on this site. If I don't like something I'll speak my mind, that's all.

I said CLOSER to a street fight. And weapons have nothing to do with a street fight, unless they're a p u s s y, or they just don't want to get dirty that day. Lol jk on getting dirty.

Grabbing someone's balls and squeezing in a fight? Well, that's not far from pulling a knife. Things like that esculate it to weapons IMO. I always had an unsaid rule in my mind when I was in a street fight, stay away from my nuts and I'll stay away from yours. I also won't power my hands up to their face, and sink my fingers 4 inches down into their eye sockets. I've done that before, and it ended it. The down side is your fingers got some wet s h i t all over them, but hey, you can't have everything.

Boxer vs MMA fighter in anything thats not pure boxing, and the boxer is usually in trouble.

I know there's plenty of boxers that can street fight too, but an MMA fighter is more at home there.

I disagree with most on here, and those of you who said you didn't read it, wtf are you on here for then?

I agree with Oscar's take and won't watch the fight either. He's right, and I can set aside what some may consider his personal interests and digest his take, and I agree that true boxing fans should boycott a circus like that.
