Mayweather's best win by 29 was what? Corrales? Castillo? Judah? Those are not legendary wins. Skillset was pretty good but he had one of the worst championship nights in history against Baldomir, almost as bad as Wlad v Sultan. A great fighter puts those types of guys away. A lot of the Floyd hype was built by HBO trying to create a new star and Sugar listing him in the top 50.
Wilfred was supremely talented early in his career but he was pretty much one sided in his loss to Leonard. He furstrated sugar but at no point lookedl ike winning it. There was a gulf between very good and great.
Wilfred was a great fighter. He would be top 5 P4P in this era. If you think Crawford is great you have to recognize Wilfred is great also.

I never said Crawford is great. He is very good though.
I never said Benitez would not be p4p now, he surely would but what does that mean? This is a weak era in terms of p4p fighters. Can you imagine someone like TC who's most dominant world class victory is Postol being p4p in the age of Manny, Oscar, Mosley, Barrera, morales, Hopkins, Floyd et al in the p4p lists?
Benitez was not and is not a legend...or at least not in terms of the other names you mentioned. He was fluid and classy to watch, you won't have any argument from me on that.

I would favor Crawford over prime Mosley and Oscar because of styles.
That's boxing for you. It's not like Thurman, Spence, or Garcia are gonna take that fight without a big payday attached to it.
Garcia and Thurman had their camps sit down, hash out the difference, and then ended up splitting $4m between the two of them (with the possibility that both fighters got a taste of the back-end money); no hassle about the billing, or who's camp controlled what. The fight simply happened
Terence Crawford goes into such talks with Top Rank wanting to control the event as an issue before things even get to the money.
Same reason they don't want Ward being called the no.1, they can't bare another black man on top of the sport after all the butt strain Floyd caused them. It's racism, I've encountered it all my life and I'm white. I can smell it on here.

Ward deserves p4p 1 he has one of the best resumes in the sport. Crawford on the other hand has a ****ty resume.
My problem with Crawford is that he could easily fight at Welterweight with other world class fighters, but he chooses to stay at 140lbs which has no world class fighters and is currently the weakest division in boxing.
