Why does Terence Crawford have so many detractors?

Not hypocritical at all.

Crawford drains himself bigly to make 140. He was a zombie at 135 too.

He has the height and reach to compete at Welterweight easily. He's much bigger than most of his opponents.

GGG is a good sized middle who could possibly compete at 168 but would be too small for 175. There's no need atm for him to fight at 168 as it's a pretty drab division.

But why should he move up if he can make weight.

His dream has been to collect all the belts.

Not his fault the division isn't as strong.

Bud is the goods. Some people just don't like certain fighters. Maybe because of some of the out of the ring nonsense he has been mixed up in I suppose. Maybe a lack of quality opposition. Lack of charisma. But it's clear he's going to be a p4p fighter for years to come. He fights who they put in front of him and destroys people. Can't really ask for anything more.

GGG is the same way, people just want to see these guys lose and they think moving up will increase that chance. I honestly dont think they care about better fights. If TC and GGG both never move up and dominate their divisions until they retire, then all the credit to them. It shouldnt be looked down upon

I think he has good skills and is fun to watch but dude is overrated and over-hyped. He needs to fight an elite that isn't ready to retire. That's when we will truly see what he's about. Especially if those elites bring different styles and beats them.

Among sound Boxing minds and intelligent fans he has next to no detractors. Among people that act like children on social media and message boards he has detractors. That's 2017. A lot is race driven too. Boxing attracts some of the most ******ed fans. A certain and very particular group of "fans" hate GGG, Kovalev and Lomachenko. Wonder what that is? There's nothing to hate with Crawford. He's willing to face anyone, he steps up, he doesn't talk and his skills are sensational.

If you beat a guy, then your ducking this other guy, you go beat him , then you never challenge yourself, you challenge yourself, you don't move up enough, you move up and it's something else.

also he isnt a foreign fighter campaigning on US soil, otherwise they'd hype him like GGG....look at his resume...3 time champion in 2 divisions, undefeated..all the tools
