I told you mofoz YEARS ago that "El Canelo" was gonna be the best name on Floyd's record when it's all said & dun... on ESB & Here.

Secondly, Canelo's team are the ones who asked for the catchweight, so the excuse of 'mayweather drained him' is false AF.

Thirdly, drained or not, Canelo fought a guy who couldn't even make the catchweight, Mayweather weighed in at 150.5lbs at the official weigh in and 150lbs on the unofficial weigh in. Canelo weighed 152lbs on the official weigh in and 165lbs on the unofficial weigh in.

There was a 15lbs difference between him and his opponent on fight night. Think about that before you come up with any more weight related excuses.

Canelo was 23 years old when he fought Mayweather, but did you know he had only 4 less professional fights than Mayweather when they fought and had beaten Austin Trout, who beat Cotto prior?

Think about that too before you make any 'he was green' excuses.
Floyd was the one who said "I don't drain any fighter, when I fight someone I want them at the optimum best weight". Even though he said that it was all bs.

Yes Canelo said he'd fight Floyd at 151 but it was because he knew that's the only way to convince Floyd to fight. He was willing to put himself at risk to fight him, he paid the price for it but he did what he had to do to convince Floyd to fight.

If Floyd was a man of his words and belief, he would have told Canelo no knew for a catchweight i want you at your ultimate best weight. But no he agreed to put alllow Canelo to put himself at a disadvantage and because of that, the victory doesn't carry as much luster to it.

      Oh well

Tell me this if Canelo beats ggg and the somehow Floyd finds his balls and give Canelo a rematch, would you give Canelo maximum credit if he beat floyd or would you be someone who said he beat a past prime Floyd and a weight disadvantaged fighter as he fought past he normal weight limit.

Yea I agree. The finer details of historical events are often left to history when it comes to mass consumption. The bigger Canelo becomes the more that benefits Floyd's legacy 20, 50 or 100 years from now.

Or maybe in 20, 50 or 100 years Wikipedia or the future version of it will be extremely detail oriented & implanted into your head so you'll know all the finer details of everything you even have the most casual interest in down to who Floyd beat in the Michigan Golden Gloves finals in 1993. But as things stand today people tend to forget & generalize.

Right. Enhancing legacy utilizing a variation of the triangle theory is tenuous at best.

It will add to Canelo's legacy...stop trying to bring Mayweather into a fight he is not fighting in

If nelo wins, then Floyd has to fight nelo. That will add to Floyd's legacy.
Nelo beating khan, cotto, etc hasn't added to Floyd's legacy so ne!o beating GGG wont.
People will just think this version of nelo destroys floyd.

On the weight issue maybe you are right maybe you are wrong and Mayweather will still school him because Canelo is not even a big middleweight.

I think history wont care because history didnt care for everybody else that was or is in these type of situations.
Canelo got schooled cuse he had wrong gameplan ,he could change gameplan ,and we dont know how Floyd would do at 160

Mayweather doesn't have to fight anyone, his legacy is set, the greatest fighter of the past 25 years.
