i thought 3g vs dj was going to be an all out slugfest where judges didnt need to show up
i thought sol was going to throw a meaningful combo vs canelo but he wasnt interested in that

so now comes canelo vs 3g.....will either/both fight overly cautious ?!?!? let the judges sort it out ?!?!?!?

Will come down to: how will Canelo get around Golovkin's jab?

Canelo better not try that strategy on the ropes where he lets opponents hit him and tries to counter. Make no mistake, GGG will throw punches and land with accuracy when Canelo is on the ropes and he won't back up if countered. Canelo won't be able to escape and GGG will cut him off.

This is the real deal for Canelo, I don't see how he can possibly win unless he is able to take GGG's punches. If he wins I will give him full credit and he will definitely be a top pound 4 pound fighter.

Canelo has the better defense for sure.

However, Golovkin has a higher work rate, pressures very well, and has far better stamina. These are going to be big problems for Canelo to overcome especially once he takes his usual breaks from fatigue. Add that to him being a stationary fighter in general. I think he gets stopped mid rounds via TKO and will be too brave to go down.

He was staggered badly by Cotto's brother.

I think faster flurries is from Canelo. But Jacobs' can deliver that one or two quick punches/counters.

But what matters is the effect of those punches on GGG.

We saw GGG as cautious of Jacobs' power. Relying on hard jabs and not getting too careless.

Will it be the same attitude against Canelo? If Canelo's punches fail to get GGG's respect, it'll be a seek and destroy strategy. Canelo has fast hands but footwork is not perfect.

Pretty sure Cotto's brother rocked him a couple of times.

You're technique analysis is just plain bad.

The most intense moments of this bout is how Team Alvarez will train in counters on the rope. Golovkin is very predictable with his timing. He usually uses his right to fake his left to the body, therefore in that sequence what will Gennady do defensively. Alvarez's speed is is not really looked upon. Golovkin might have a hard time resetting to set the shots he wants. Seeing the fights, I'm going to pick that Alvarez will be the stronger guy in the later rounds. Youth
