How can anyone claim Abraham is the best middleweight when his best win is what Howard Eastman? Who cares!!! Taylor beat Hopkins twice, doesn't matter how close it was. 5 out of 6 judges have verified that Taylor is better than Hopkins. End of story. Winning a close fight against Hopkins and blowing out a nobody contender are NOT comparable at all.

No hate for JT, but he hasnt proven himself to be number 1 in the world. I rank Winky Wright over JT since JT has just beat Bernard Hopkins
"THE 40 year old Man". Dont just say he beat Hopkins hes the best. Abraham has had more fights than JT has. Thats a fact. JT has only beaten an old and dusty BH. He needs more fights under his name before we can say hes the best in the division.

think of it like this: the "champ" jermain taylor has had two fights since last july when he won the title. abraham has had five fights since last july, 2 since he won the title in december.

taylor's only fought hopkins and soon winky, two of the best MWs in the world. abraham hasnt fought p4p fighters, but hes faced top contenders like gardner, eastman, ikeke, and jantuah.

taylor's next fight in june is against winky wright (a top 5 at least p4p fighter). abraham's next fight is against edison miranda (possibly the hardest hitting MW in the world today).

taylor's title winning fight is rather controversial. abraham's title winning fight ended in a 5th round TKO over the 6'4" ikeke.

taylor's fights with hopkins (his only two noteworthy fights to date) were very close decisions. all of abraham's noteworthy fights were won unquestionably won by abraham.

this is my position. abraham has done better and has done it more often than taylor has, but taylor has fought better fighters but not as often. i think people give too much credit to taylor for his wins over hopkins.

i think abraham is the better MW, but if taylor beats winky, he'll be the best. both fighters upcoming fights will tell alot about who the best MW is.

I think if he beats Miranda, he is definetly top 5, if not 3. Taylor is fighting Winky, a guy who will most likely not knock him out, but both are going to go for the decesion. Miranda has lots of power, and is a big risk for Abraham. So you decide who is fighting the better fighters.

sure, taylors fighting the best fighters. but hes not exactly soundly beating them (them being only hopkins). abraham is dominating his opponents, and is fighting twice as much as taylor is.

who cares who hes beating, taylor is facing a level fighters and coming out on top. there is no evidence that abraham is on taylors level.
