Let's take Jacobs first ... If it goes like with Stevens Lemieux will have 2 better scores compared to GGG ... The rematch will be a no brainer then ...

One thing I've been wondering is how Jacobs was able to keep GGG off of him more than Lemieux. Lemieux is known to be a monster puncher. Is Jacobs that much more of a puncher? That would say a lot about Jacobs. IIRC, Jacobs' footwork is better than Lemieux's, so he's able to better avoid getting cut off in the ring.
as examples, many wonder "why their opponents just rush him and run them over?" Because their footwork and hand-speed force their guys to start thinking and not punching.

THERE'S ONLY ONE ADJUSTMENT Lemieux needs to beat Golovkin:
Cut off that ******-looking and completely disabling tuft of hair he was wearing!!!
He could never see those slow and telegraphed jabs that GGG threw at him all fight long, as well as the devastating middle section hooks.
Lemieux just needs a 100% clear vision, some head and waist movement to get inside GGG's jab witout getting hit, and then to become the one throwing devastating body hooks all night, a couple of those, then to the head, and repeat this over and over.
I really believe Lemieux is the one who has more power of the two. But his haircut and boxing "strategy" were utterly ******. He fought the 100% wrong strategy, wore the most inadequate haircut and let GGG control the fight with his jab. The few, very few power exchanges they had, it was Lemieux the one who hurt GGG, not the other way around. But that only happened very few times, when Lemieux somehow could SEE and get past GGG's annoying and powerful jab.
BOTTOM LINE:
Clear vision plus head and waist movement to get past GGG's jab, plus a lot of work on the body = first knockdown to GGG and possibly his first loss!

The boxing-skills gap between the two needs to be closed a bit more before anyone gets interested in putting serious money on that fight again.

Jacobs fight showed that GGG ain't no Mayweather when fighting on his tail, maybe there's something there.

Zero interest in seeing this one again... Lemieux did so poorly last time, he really needs to work his way back up through the MW ranks before I would even START to become interested.
I honestly suspect this is a setup for another dodge by Golden Boy.
EDIT: I just looked at the Rings Ranking, Lemieux is third behind Jacobs... huh? When did that happen, why did that happen? The fight with Stevens? I still think he needs to put in some more work before facing GGG again, maybe and N'Dam rematchLast edited by Yahtzard; 05-06-2017, 08:05 AM.
