Common Lemmy leave GGG alone. There are so many promising fighters around the MW division that you could fight. Personally the thought of Lemieux vs Chris Eubank Jr. is mouth watering.

I think this is the ideal situation for everyone involved.

For Jacobs this is a risky fight against a big name guy so he can show he's not resting on his laurels. But its a very winnable fight for him and will only make the next fight with the GGG or Canelo winner much more compelling. For Lemiuex its a chance at a high quality win that would ensure he deserved a match with the GGG vs. Canelo winner. For instance, if Lemieux dusts off another Reyes level fighter no one would care to see a rematch with GGG after GGG beats Canelo. But if he can get Jacob's scalp it becomes much more interesting to everyone involved.

At the end of the day its too risky for Lemieux. They know that they will get a Canelo fight sooner or later since they share the same promoter. There is no way they would risk that. Its a damned shame.

I would argue that now that Jermall Charlo has moved up to 160 Lemiuex has become the 5th best middleweight boxer.

I think GGG is just better so he'd adjust to whatever Lemieux does. He should go after Jacobs, Chavez, Canelo or one of the Charlo brothers.

I doubt if this fight ever happens there's no need for it not as far as GGG is concerned and the best thing Daniel could hope for is maybe he can go 9 this time...

If Oscar can't find a way to work with Haymon, his fighters will suffer! Jermall Charlo, Khurtsidze, and Jacobs, are all good opponents for Lemieux. Not to mention Sergiy Derevyanchenko, Immanuel Aleem, and Rob Brant on the come-up!

I'm down with him taking a Jacobs fight in the fall with the winner getting a shot at Golovkin next year. Win win for all.
