I think it's mostly due to Dan Rafael's support of Ortiz tbh, but the fight game is built on hype until you fight a live dog so it is what it is.

But I'll add that Ortiz beat Jennings convincingly too. Solid win for sure. The last couple fights have been meh though. Eddie was trying to feed him to Joshua but Ortiz has been difficult to deal with for GBP, Hearn, and now Al. We'll see where things go for him.

I think he'll fight Wilder soon though. (Just a weird feeling)

Because the IBF doesn't play favorites which is why Floyd never fought for IBF belts. They actually hold you accountable unable to cherry pick.

It's hype and their disdain for euro-Russian fighters. The pure bigotry is unreal.

Wilder is the weakest champion in HW history and is protected to the Max yet people focus their ire on fighters who actually earn their rankings.

As much as I dislike it. He may as well. WBC is the only REAL title left for him to collect but BUM SQUAD ain't gonna fight him cause he's not a bum so Joshua will never be able to collect all the belts.

Joshua's next fight will be either Pulev or Klitschko, I don't think anybody else is really even on the table for his next fight. Fury, Wilder, Parker, Ortiz and all those guys are further down the line. This will either be the rematch or the IBF mandatory. I'd put my money on Pulev in the O2 in November.
