Where are you getting this fraction of the money from? The live gate was bigger for Joshua/Klitschko than Canelo/Khan, their purses were bigger. Final numbers aint come out yet, dont know where youre getting "fractions" from

Canelo/Khan generated did less then 600k PPV buys at $70. At $20 priced UK PPV needs what 2.1m PPV buys to match. Fight was also sold to Movie theaters to air the fights and other countries around the world. Large Mexican TV deal to air canelo fights. Just from Golden Boy alone Canelo was paid 13.5m real money verified in the Golden Boy lawsuit with Haymon not figures thrown out by Promoters. Not counting his own deals he has outside of Golden Boy with Mexican TV. Canelo guaranteed over 20m for Chavez fight that is estimated to do close to 1m PPV buys

AJ fights the best? He just fought Klitch who is not the best HW and was coming off a loss to Fury. Fury by the way beat Klichko easily was not put on the deck in that fight. Canelo at 26 has already fought Cotto, Floyd, Trout, Lara, Mosley ect. He got 3 HOFers on his resume and numerous P4P ranked fighters at the time he fought. Klitch was long gone from P4P ranking at the time Joshua fought him. Joshua who is already older then Canelo and was fighting nothing but bums before last weekend. If we talking about who has fought the best it's Canelo and it's not even close. Only fight Canelo hasn't made that fans have asked for is GGG. Joshua hasn't fought Wilder, Ortiz or Fury.

So yes he's definitely just fought the best. Canelo fights good fighters, but he didn't fight the guy we want him to fight.

This is just plain ******. If he's not the biggest name then why do his fights generate the most money? Again Joshua's fight didn't even generate as much money as Canelo's fight with Khan did and the khan fight will not even crack Canelo's top 3 fights in money generated. Setting records in the UK is nice but he's largely unknown in the US and that's where the money is. Once he gets some fights in the US we'll see what attendance and TV ratings he can draw. That will lead to US PPVs but if only 600k fans bothered to watch his fight live he has a long way to go to convince fans to buy a PPV. Even drawing US ratings doesn't prove he will succeed in PPVs just ask GGG who draws huge HBO ratings but can only convince about 100k fans to buy his PPVs and he's a KO artist who KO'd everyone before he faced Jacobs and still can't sell PPVs.

Joshua has to do what Lewis and others did and come to the US to cross over and get Americans excited. Canelo can fill 100K stadiums in Mexico and already does insane ratings over there but he fights in the US for a reason.

A little over a year ago nobody mentioned him fighting GGG and that fight hasn't happened because GGG has clowns negotiating fights for him. See the shyt show that went on with Saunders? How about Ward? Canelo fought everyone except one guy at a weight he's never fought at and who is notorious for fighting bums and NOT making any big fight fans ask for.

The problem isn't with him fighting Klitchko you idiot it's that he is the first good fighter he's faced. Canelo has been fighting good fighters for years. Klitchko was the first good fighter and was coming off a loss to Fury who dominated him. Beat him without getting dropped and almost knocked out. He hasn't fought Wilder, Ortiz, Fury ect all in the same weight class he has been in his entire career. Canelo fought everyone at 154 at a much younger age is now on to his next weight class. There is no way to spin it Canelo has faced tougher competition. Sorry that's just a fact.

300k but why lie and 300k X $70 = 21m How many PPVs did Joshua previous before Klitchko with Molina do what 400k at UK prices. So 400k X $20 = 8m. BS and you know it Cotto was the A side in name only Canelo vs Floyd and Cotto vs Floyd which fight made more money? I know you know the answer. Canelo and Cotto both had showcase fights on HBO the year they fought who did higher tv ratings for HBO? I know you know the answer. In those showcase fights who drew higher audiences remind me who filled up a baseball stadium? But even if you want to be a clown and not give Canelo credit for Cotto numbers. Last year who sold more PPVs then Canelo? Who generated more money then Canelo? Nobody. In 2017 no fight is making more money then Canelo/Chavez hell even if Canelo doesn't fight again in 2017 he could probably still be the number 1 PPV seller in boxing for 2 years in a row.

That came from real financial documents from the Golden Boy/Haymon lawsuit which is now public record. Go google it if you like no guessing needed we have the real figure Golden Boy paid him. 3.5m is just the amount they disclose to the state on fight night. Canelo owns a major piece in the actual promotion he co-promotes the fight very similar to what Floyd did with Golden Boy. He gets a nickle from EVERYTHING. Does Joshua have that same deal with Hearn? Canelo guaranteed OVER 20m for the Chavez fight real money not lies and exaggerations. His check > Joshua's check

I realize that this is an all over the world question, so I can't answer it really. But in my backyard (U.S.) it's Canelo all day long. Joshua is awesome. I'm a fan. BUT, he could walk down literally any street he wanted in America and wouldn't get recognized. Canelo would get mobbed. But again, thats just my corner of the world. Not meant as a knock on Joshua.

So AJ is calling out a retired fighter then. Why didn't he call out Wilder? Wilder is the fight everyone wants to see. When is that one going to happen? Not this year I can guarantee you.
