article isn't all that clear, to be fair to him. if they sold 1.5 million in total PPV it would not be a raging success. if they sold 1.5 million ppv in a country with about 60-70 million people it would be damn impressive. they also had close to 100K in the building, and brits, uhhh, go to pubs for this stuff or so i am told. so the real figure of how many people watched the event would put it in rarified air, considering that it was boxing and that you had to pay to watch it in some regard.

i'll wait for sky sports to release the buys, the way they always do. it's too early for that right now anyway.
1.5 million in revenue with a reported 10million guarantee for each guy.

Come on. any idiot in this world knows that pound sign is a mistake. All of the figures report around 1.5+.

On top of al that, as far as I know, Sky have never released PPV figures and until it comes from them, there is no reason to ever believe what Hearn has to say.
So you're saying it sold 80k ppv buys?

Also, if you don't understand that the pound sign was a mistake I feel sorry for you. 1.5-1.6 mil numbers are trending everywhere.
I know the pound sign was a mistake, I was simply stating a newspaper making that type of mistake across a two paragraph article is not an encouraging sight.

Second, I am not talking about Hearn calling the fight a success, of course he's gonna call it a success. I'm talking about his actual words, when he states he does not know what the ppv figures are, he simply expects t to be the biggest ever. That is in no way a factual statement, so why blow it out of proportion?

Seriously, people like you make British fight fans on here seem like fangirl *****es. You got to calm it down Shirley.

You know an idiot when he starts attacking you for no reason.

We all saw you didn't understand that it was a simple mistake and jumped to conclusions because of it. You tried to make me look bad because you have some kind of inferiority complex which is just sad.

                  Get out more.

80k fans, 1.5+ million PPV's that's great for both guys. They should do it again if Wlad is up for it and the IBF doesn't get in the way like always. Although Joshua vs Pulev is not a bad fight at all.
